Naming Ceremonies

The birth of a child is a momentous and significant time. Formerly this was marked by a christening ceremony. Some people no longer find this type of ceremony reflects their own values or that of many people attending.

My aim is to help create a ritual that will mark this wonderful event in a way that is both joyful and significant.

The ceremony can include music, poetry, promises from parents and others outlining the responsibilities that they are taking on, and involvement and support of family and friends.

Some people like to select Mentors, in the place of God-Parents.

What to expect
